Submit Your 'Overtime' Questions for June 6, 2014

[ Edited ]

Bill and his roundtable guests - Ralph Reed, John Waters, Jim Geraghty, Nicolle Wallace and Fmr. Rep. Anthony Weiner - answer fan questions after Friday's show.

Selected questions will be answered on HBO.com immediately following the premiere. Please be aware that concise (50 words or less) single topic questions have the best chance of being selected, so the shorter and more specific you can be, the better.

Visit the Real Time homepage right after the show to watch Overtime LIVE.

Now that Seattle has decided to raise the minimum wage to $15hr, when businesses discover that they cannot pay that wage along with the inevitable skyrocketing cost of living, reduce their workforce  by automation or will they decide to close up shop and move elsewhere ?

Economic Realty

Why is it it seems that on your show, the news, etc. there is lack of not staying on the point and drilling home to right wingers of what is actual and what is bulls**t from the right wing about the ECONOMY? Fact:  Ronald Reagan TRIPLED the national debt ($700B to $2 Trillion), fact, supply side economics or trickle down economics isn't taught ANYWHERE in Academia because its a theory that doesn't work.  Fact, Arthur Laffer, the proponent of that theory, has been wrong on everything ever said about the economy including the 2008 prediction that the economy would come in for a "soft landing".  And last FACT, the reason this recovery has been so long and not optimal is that any real economist will tell you that a recession caused by a systemic failure of the banking system, like this one, is far greater and deeper than a normal cycle recession, i.e. the great depression.

I work in Private Equity for 10+ years and actually know somewhat I am talking about when it comes to finance, I like the show, but in this new right wing age, it pains to seem a lot nowadays that half the guests you have on are just some right wing blogger who now thinks he is knowledegable because he .com has freedom or teaparty in it.

Re: Economic Realty

Is there any reason to believe anymore that the Nigerian government and it military are either willing or able to help prevent the slaughter of its own people by the Boko Haram (or any other terrorist  splinter groups?) What should the United do and/or not do in response to these escalating tragedies?

With global protests up 54% since 2011, when will Americans protest against the government itself, rather than complain about the effects of its failures?

Being that social media is now a universal norm in our society, don't you think the American populus will be forced to become a lot "cooler" about who they elect for political office due to the fact that the next generation of politicians will literally live their entire lives documented on some sort of online platform?

Re: Economic Realty

I keep hearing people express being concerned about the Dem's ability to hold on to their majority in the Senate. Does this mean that the consensus is that it is unlikely that they will be able to gain control in the House?

What would it take for the federal government to pass legislation ensuring that every American has a right to vote? Meaning that states can not steal/impede/tamper with/etc. the right of every American citizen to vote.

Thank you

Often in the news, we hear about celebrities in trouble for using Politically Incorrect curse words.  Question: What words might be included in a list of "acceptable" or Politically Correct curse words, words which don't get you immediately ostracized from society yet still manage to express your true ire?
